Shoe Shopping

I guess my childhood is coming back to haunt me... shoe shopping with my 3 girls.  This is one of my least favorite things to do with my girls as a parent, and ironically, one of their favorites (at least two of them).  Oh so stressful.  Erika and Ellie have an obsession, a sweet shoe fetish.  Erika passed me up this last winter on her shoe size, Emily has such a narrow foot, she can't wear any of Erika's, and Ellie just has too many shoes, let's face it.  The only thing that convinced me she needed new shoes and that I was in trouble, was that she couldn't wear flip flops to school, and that's all she had.  uggh.  Thinking they worked their "BLING" on me today. (And BTW, none of these are Em's.)

Our Angel

Love all the special friends we've met in the paths that we've taken the last few years.  Today we got together with Emily's teacher for two years at The Academy, an amazing person, Miss Moore.  She was our angel for Em with Granny's passing, a beautiful relationship, definitely sent from Above.

Just One More Show?!

If there's one thing we weren't short of this summer, it was watching "shows."  Anything that involves, music, props, dressing up, dancing, acting...  I've watched it.  The old saying "What goes around, comes around," I definitely had this one coming.  The days past of our "shows," making whoever would watch, has definitely come full swing.  I think I hurt their feelings when I asked them, "Can't you just line up some stuffed animals and let them be your audience?"
Love this pic of their pose after the "Final Act!"  Fun times, wouldn't trade it for the world! (No matter how many shows I have to watch!)

Country Life

Life in the country- that's my sister, Laura's life.  Friends and family gathers at the Daley's whenever there's' a chance, because life in the country is just more fun!  There is always something to do, whether it's feeding the horses, swimming, jumping on the trampoline, or riding on the toro.  Peyton had his first surprise party- and what a party it was!

Life is Good!

So when you're kids beg you to go to the library before their books are due back, you gotta feel good!  It's also a good feeling when I was able to look through some "Big People" aisles and find me a book- now if I get to reading it, that's another story!  This summer it has been fun because they were very excited about their shirts after they read 20 books.  They love going out to the library's park and read afterwards.  Emily is too cute- she just finished it today because last week she didn't fit in as much reading time due to saying the rosary at night (she learned how at church).  I told her I'm sure she's read more than that because of the horse book that we are reading together.  She won't count it because she says the rule is that the book has to be from the library.  The horse one is not.  The girl is way too honest!  :)  I love that!  Life is good.

I know this is a horrible picture, but crazy as it sounds, this is the first "successful picture" I've taken since Vacation Bible School two weeks ago!  We are in the last week of of  VBS, and I brought my camera during their sining production, only to find that my camera's batteries were dead!  Wondering why my camera doesn't warn me of that????!!!!
Then Erika desparately asks me to  just take it all in and not take pictures....
And Em's class- thinking I'm so ready, I get myself ready to take a picture of her part of the day, where she does a reading and there is no memory card.
So I'm 0-fer.  I video taped Ellie with the two songs that were unbelievably precious, only to have difficulty downloading.  so this is all I have, still pretty cute!  Just wish you would've heard them singing and praising Jesus.  I'm pretty sure that these moments are what bring us closer to God.
